Beyond diving

The itinerary is dive-led and includes extended open-water passages, so it is best suited to qualified divers.

A non-diving companion on a private charter requires case-by-case approval and a tailored programme.

Getting there

Flights, Kota Kinabalu hotel accommodation and local transport are excluded from the standard expedition price.

Embarkation details, meeting point, baggage handling and any pre- or post-cruise stay must be confirmed before flights are ticketed.

Dives per day

Normally three dives per diving day; the principal dive days are expected around days 3–5 and depend on the 26–30 hour passages

Dive programme

A check dive may be completed on day 2 if arrival time and conditions allow. Subsequent diving focuses on Layang-Layang's deep walls, reefs and blue-water sites.

Advanced certification or equivalent, at least 30 logged dives, mandatory dive computer and suitable blue-water and drift experience are required.

Full dive equipment is included. Site choice, number of dives and wildlife encounters remain condition-dependent.

Nitrox

Nitrox is not available on the expedition.

House reef

No house reef; all diving is conducted from the expedition catamaran at Layang-Layang.

Photography facilities

The vessel has a dedicated camera rinse bucket and a dry indoor preparation area.

Photographers should bring expedition spares and confirm charging requirements because the destination is remote.

Where you will stay

Rooms & rates

The catamaran has two King Cabins convertible to twin setup and two Super Single Cabins; all four cabins are air conditioned with private ensuite bathrooms.

Guests share the salon and deck, with Starlink Wi-Fi provided subject to service. The vessel's rate card states a maximum of six guests for private charter.
