Day by day

Operator Itinerary

This is the operator’s indicative itinerary. The captain and cruise director may change the sequence according to conditions, safety and marine-park regulations.

Day 1 — Meet the operator's team in Alor, transfer to The Seven Seas, complete safety and dive briefings, and make a check dive when timing and conditions permit.

Early and middle cruise days — Progress through the planned Alor expedition area with up to three day dives and a night dive when conditions, transfers and guest experience allow.

Later cruise days — The captain and Cruise Director adapt the sequence for weather, currents and the strongest safe diving opportunities. Tender excursions and non-diving activities may be included where practical.

Penultimate day — A reduced diving schedule is normally planned before the final passage toward Alor.

Final day — Breakfast, disembarkation in Alor and the operator's confirmed onward transfer. No diving is planned on checkout day.

The normal programme targets up to three day dives plus a night dive when the itinerary, conditions and guest experience allow.

Approximately 34 dives is a planning estimate for this 11-night itinerary, allowing for embarkation, passages, a reduced penultimate day and no checkout-day diving. It is not a guaranteed dive count.

Nitrox is included for appropriately certified divers. Final participation in any dive is at the Cruise Director's discretion.

Conditions and experience

Alor can include sheltered reefs, exposed passages, walls, pinnacles and current-influenced sites. Current, visibility and surface conditions vary by site, tide, season and weather.

Water temperature across these Indonesian operating areas is commonly around 26–29°C. Certification, recent experience and logged dives must be reviewed before confirmation.

Underwater photography

Alor can provide both wide-angle and macro opportunities, but all encounters and conditions are natural and cannot be guaranteed.

The vessel has an indoor camera preparation and editing table. Photographers should bring critical spares and reconfirm charging, rinse and storage needs before travel.

THE VESSEL

The Seven Seas

A 40 m traditional Buginese schooner for up to 14 guests, purpose-equipped for remote Indonesian diving expeditions.

The Seven Seas is a traditionally built Buginese schooner launched in 2006 and operated for remote diving and exploration throughout Indonesia.

The vessel accommodates up to 14 guests in eight air-conditioned en-suite cabins across three decks, with indoor and outdoor lounges, a spacious dive deck and three tenders.

The two smallest cabins were converted to single cabins during the mid-2026 docking period. All vessel details, cabin allocation and operating arrangements remain subject to the operator's written confirmation.

Shared spaces

Shared spaces include an air-conditioned lounge and dining room, a large sun deck, shaded outdoor lounging areas and outdoor dining space.

Starlink Wi-Fi is included but remains subject to satellite coverage and technical availability in remote areas.

Dining & dietary needs

Cruise rates include meals and snacks onboard. Dietary requirements, allergies and religious food requirements must be declared at enquiry stage and confirmed in writing before travel.

Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are excluded unless specifically confirmed otherwise.

Dive deck

The shaded dive deck has gear storage and deck showers and is supported by onboard compressors, 12 L tanks, rental equipment and snorkelling gear.

The normal programme is planned around up to three day dives and a night dive when conditions and the itinerary allow.

Dive tenders

Diving and excursions are supported by two 6.5 m fibreglass tenders with twin 40 HP outboards and one smaller fibreglass tender.

Camera facilities

The air-conditioned lounge includes a working table for camera preparation and editing.

Underwater photographers should confirm charging, rinse and specialist workspace requirements before booking and bring expedition spares.

Rental equipment

The published vessel specification lists twelve rental scuba sets, snorkelling equipment, wetsuits and 24 aluminium 12 L tanks.

Rental equipment is not included in the cruise rate; sizes, quantities and charges must be reserved and reconfirmed in advance.

Safety equipment

The published safety inventory includes two life rafts rated for 20 persons each, 40 adult life jackets, 10 infant life jackets and an AED.

Guests must follow the captain's, Cruise Director's and crew's safety instructions at all times.

Navigation equipment

The vessel carries navigation and communications equipment for remote Indonesian operations. Reconfirm any specialist expedition or communications requirement before departure.
