A macro photography expedition for divers who travel for the rare, the slow and the extraordinary.

Romblon is a hidden gem in the heart of the Philippine archipelago — a boutique macro diving destination where rare critters, super-macro subjects and photographer-friendly diving come together in a relaxed island setting.

This small-group expedition runs from 8–20 May 2027, Manila-to-Manila. Based at Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort on Alad Island, the program is built around 8 full days of specialized macro and super-macro diving, private local guiding, selected night dives and blackwater / bonfire dive opportunities.

The expedition is designed for underwater photographers, macro enthusiasts and experienced divers who prefer slow, deliberate diving over rushed sightseeing. The focus is patient critter searching, careful buoyancy and time to observe and photograph rare marine life.

8 full macro diving days with night dives and blackwater opportunities.

The planned diving program includes an orientation / check dive, 8 full diving days with up to 3 guided dives per day, selected night dives and blackwater / bonfire dive opportunities.

The focus is slow, photographer-friendly diving with private local guides, careful positioning and enough time for macro photography. Dive sites are selected according to local conditions, recent critter sightings and the experience level of the group.

Night dives and blackwater / bonfire dives are planned on suitable evenings, subject to weather, sea conditions, local operational advice and diver experience level.
