Full board can be added for €15 per person per day and adds a three-course lunch plus refillable drinking water and selected tea or coffee service.

Beyond diving

Non-divers can join snorkeling trips, book massages or relax around the island's beaches and jetty.

Maratua village and cave-lake excursions may be arranged locally.

Getting there

Scheduled and group transfers operate from Berau by road and speedboat, taking roughly three hours from the airport area to Nabucco.

Arrival flights should land in Berau by approximately 14:30 and departure flights should leave after 12:00; exact timings are reconfirmed.

Dives per day

Usually two boat dives per day within a tailored multi-dive package; full-day and night options on request

Dive programme

Daily diving covers northern Maratua and the tide-dependent Big Fish Country channel, with a standard guide ratio up to 1:5 and 1:4 for underwater photographers.

A regular Kakaban and Sangalaki day typically combines two Kakaban dives, one Sangalaki dive and snorkeling in Kakaban's jellyfish lake. Muaras Atoll can be added on longer stays.

A seven-night stay is recommended for northern Maratua, Kakaban and Sangalaki; ten nights allow more scope for southern Maratua and Muaras Atoll.

Nitrox

Nitrox is available at €7 per tank for certified divers; 15-litre tanks are also available at a supplement.

House reef

Jetty snorkeling and reef access are available, while the principal dive programme is operated by boat according to tides and conditions.

Photography facilities

A dedicated camera room provides spacious workstations and charging outlets.

A separate camera rinse tank is available at the dive centre; photographer groups are normally limited to four divers per guide.

Nabucco lists seven Garden Bungalow rooms, eight Seafront Bungalow rooms and two Suites. Rates are normally per person and include half board, with full board available as an upgrade.
