Sangat Island Dive Resort is an off-grid private-island retreat in Coron Bay, surrounded by white sand, limestone cliffs and tropical forest. Its low-impact native-style accommodations, open-air restaurant and bars, solar-powered infrastructure and broad non-diver programme create a relaxed base for couples, families and mixed groups.

The resort is especially well placed for Coron Bay's historic Second World War wrecks: multiple major sites lie within a short boat ride, alongside protected reefs, the Sangat house reef, Barracuda Lake and Cathedral Cave. The on-site dive centre supports recreational, training and technical requests subject to certification and advance confirmation.

About Sangat Island Dive Resort

Dining and meal plans

Full board is included in the contracted chalet and villa rates: breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinking water, coffee and tea, plus a daily snack. Meals are normally buffet style and combine regional and international dishes.

Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice, subject to resort confirmation. Robinson Crusoe Cottage is a separate long-stay arrangement whose food provisioning is individually agreed.

Beyond diving

Non-divers can enjoy the private beach, restaurant and bars, snorkeling, sea kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, bird watching, native massage and the geothermal hot springs.

Longer excursions can explore Coron Island, nearby islands and beaches, Coron or Culion town and other Calamianes highlights. Final routes, prices and minimum numbers are confirmed in the personalised quotation.

Getting there

Shared transfers to and from Busuanga Airport or Coron town are included in the contracted accommodation rate. Coron town pick-up and drop-off is coordinated through the CCTBA office at the old market; exact instructions and timing are confirmed after flight or ferry details are received.

Non-standard, private and El Nido routings are quoted separately and remain subject to flight or ferry timing, weather, sea conditions, luggage and supplier availability.

Dive programme

Sangat is a specialist Coron wreck-diving base with eleven significant Second World War-era wrecks in the wider area and many major sites only minutes from the resort. Reef options include the Sangat house reef, Coral Gardens and other protected marine habitats; Barracuda Lake and Cathedral Cave can also be requested for suitably experienced divers.

A standard single-tank fun dive is PHP 2,682.35 before the PHP 50 per-dive Marine Park fee and includes tank, weights, guide and boat. Twin tanks, 15-litre tanks, night diving, Nitrox, rental equipment and technical support are available as separate options.

Nitrox

Nitrox up to 40% oxygen is available. A standard 12-litre fill is PHP 505.88; 15-litre, twin-set, 6-litre and oxygen/deco configurations are quoted from the current rate sheet or on request.

House reef

The protected Sangat house reef and nearby Coral Gardens provide accessible tropical reef diving and snorkeling close to the resort, with site choice and entry method based on conditions and experience.

Photography facilities

The dive centre can coordinate underwater-photography requirements and suitable wreck, reef and macro subjects. The selected resort materials do not confirm a dedicated climate-controlled camera room, so workbench, rinse, charging and storage arrangements should be requested in advance.

The local diving offers both wide-angle wreck subjects and reef life including schooling fish, cuttlefish, mantis shrimp and pelagic encounters. Exact camera handling procedures on boats are confirmed with the dive team.

Rooms & rates

Sangat's accommodation spans fan-cooled and air-conditioned beachside, hillside and hilltop chalets, the two-bedroom Lambingan Villa, a family-friendly Bungalow Suite and the isolated long-stay Robinson Crusoe Cottage. Six room categories have 2026–2027 pricing available; the Bungalow Suite and Robinson Crusoe Cottage are quote-only.

Native-style chalets use hand-woven bamboo, local timber and palm roofing, with large mosquito-netted windows, fans, private wet-room bathrooms, 24-hour power and in-room safes. Only two beachside chalets and one hilltop chalet have air conditioning and hot running water. Wi-Fi is available in common areas, not in guest rooms.
