Route & itinerary

Open each section to explore the programme and its diving areas. Day-by-day plans are indicative; the captain may adjust stops and timing for conditions, safety and park access. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.

This six-day sample programme follows Moana’s supplied booking guide. The crew adjusts sites and sailing order to tides, weather and the group.

Day 1 - Labuan Bajo and Sebayur

Meet the crew in Labuan Bajo and settle into your cabin. After the equipment check and onboard briefing, Moana heads toward Sebayur Kecil. A first dive gives guests and guides time to settle into their routine. The boat normally stays near Sebayur overnight.

Day 2 - Central Komodo and manta sites

The sample programme starts around Tatawa Besar and continues through central Komodo. Batu Bolong brings dense reef life around its rocky pinnacle, while a manta site offers the possibility of seeing rays feeding or visiting the reef. A night dive may follow near Gili Lawa Darat.

Day 3 - North Komodo

Castle Rock and Crystal Rock are representative northern sites, with submerged reef formations and fish gathering in moving water. The Cauldron adds a channel dive when conditions and experience permit. Moana’s sample plan stays in the northern area for the night.

Day 4 - Channels, reefs and Wainilu

Golden Passage, Tatawa Kecil and Siaba Kecil illustrate the variety of channels and reefs on the return south. The programme may continue toward Rinca, where a slower night dive at Wainilu shifts the focus toward small animals on the seabed.

Day 5 - Rinca and the final dives

A ranger-led walk on Rinca offers a chance to see Komodo dragons. The final dives may be around Wainilu or Tengah Kecil, with timing adapted to onward flights. The sample route passes Kalong Island, known for flying foxes leaving their roosts around sunset.

Day 6 - Return to Labuan Bajo

Breakfast accompanies the return to Labuan Bajo. Disembark in the late morning and transfer to the airport or a local hotel. Confirm the no-fly interval with the operator when arranging the final dives and onward flight.
