📋 EXPEDITION OVERVIEW

Apo Reef Natural Park is the largest contiguous coral reef system in the Philippines and the second-largest in the world. Situated in the Mindoro Strait, this offshore marine ocean park features mind-blowing drop-offs plunging into abyssal depths, boasting 40-meter visibility and consistent encounters with pelagic giants: Whale Sharks, Hammerheads, Manta Rays, and hundreds of resident Reef Sharks. We base this expedition on the private eco-island of Pandan, located right on the edge of the marine park. It offers a true "Robinson Crusoe luxury" experience where sea turtles nest right outside your beach bungalow, presenting an incredible pristine nature retreat for both divers and non-divers.

🗺️ DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

🛫 DAY 1: Escape to the Private Eco-Island

• For Everyone: Arrive at Manila International Airport (MNL) and board our short domestic flight to San Jose Airport (SJI) on Mindoro Island. Our private air-conditioned VIP transport transfers the group to the coast, followed by a short 20-minute boat ride to the private island of Pandan.

• Evening: Settle into your beachfront bungalow where wild sea turtles graze on the grass outside. Welcome dinner and sunset cocktails on the sand.

🐢 DAY 2: House Reef Check-Dive & Traditional Island Spa

• Divers (2 Dives): Morning check-dives at Pandan House Reef. A gorgeous reef slope covered in vibrant soft corals, famous for giant green sea turtles and large schools of resident batfish.

• Non-Divers (Snorkel & Spa): Guided snorkeling right off the beach alongside the island’s resident sea turtles, followed by your first traditional Hilot massage using warm coconut oils in the open-air spa pavilion.

🦈 DAY 3: The Abyssal Walls of Apo Reef (The Crossing)

• Divers (3 Dives): We board our large expedition vessel for the 1.5-hour crossing to Apo Reef Natural Park. First day diving Apo Island North Wall and Shark Ridge. Experience vertical walls dropping to 400 meters, surrounded by dozens of white-tip and black-tip reef sharks.

• Non-Divers (Snorkel & Safari): Join the main boat expedition. Apo Reef’s reef top is a shallow coral sanctuary perfect for snorkeling with reef sharks and eagle rays.

🐋 DAY 4: The Apex Predators of Apo Reef

• Divers (3 Dives): Diving the advanced site Manta Corner and Binahaan Drop-off. We hook into the reef edge to watch schools of dogtooth tuna, giant trevally, and migrating Manta Rays or Hammerhead Sharks passing by in the blue water.

• Non-Divers (Snorkel & Island Exploration): Land excursion on the main desert island of Apo Reef. Walk through the pristine mangrove forest paths, climb the historic lonely lighthouse for a 360° view of the reef system, and snorkel in the internal lagoon.

🛶 DAY 5: Terrestrial Adventure – Mindoro River Cruise & Waterfalls

• For Everyone (Joint Terrestrial Day): We cross back to the Mindoro mainland for a beautiful nature day. We take a private boat cruise down the wild Apo Reef Mangrove River, look for exotic tropical birds, and hike to a hidden jungle waterfall for a refreshing swim. Traditional Filipino lunch served in the rainforest.

🌊 DAY 6: The Giant Groupers of Pandan North

• Divers (3 Dives): Exploring the northern pinnacles of Pandan Island (Pandan North and Wilderness). Exceptional coral coverage with massive barrel sponges and giant potato groupers.

• Non-Divers (Snorkel & Spa): Guided sea kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) circuit around the entire private island of Pandan. Second deep-tissue massage in the evening.

⚓ DAY 7: The Sharks of Hunter’s Rock

• Divers (3 Advanced Dives): A specialized trip to Hunter’s Rock—a submerged offshore sea mount in the open ocean known for strong currents, massive schools of snappers, and high shark density.

• Non-Divers (Snorkel & Spa): Private beach picnic on a secluded sandspit on Pandan, followed by an organic fruit and aloe vera soothing body wrap at the spa.

🦐 DAY 8: Macro Hidden Gems

• Divers (3 Dives): Diving Coral Garden and Neptune’s Land, shifting the focus to macro photography: searching for rare nudibranchs, leaf scorpionfish, and pygmy seahorses.

• Non-Divers (Snorkel & Spa): Private cocktail masterclass at the beach bar. Learn how to craft tropical rum infusions while watching the sunset. Third premium massage.

🐬 DAY 9: Oceanic Super-Pod Tracking

• Divers (2 Morning Dives): Two final deep wall dives around the outer drop-offs of Apo Reef to capture wide-angle reef shots.

• 🎒 Premium Add-on: Mindoro Strait Whale Tracking. An afternoon boat safari into the deep blue channels of the Mindoro Strait to track migrating pods of Pilot Whales and wild dolphins.

🛑 DAY 10: Final Sunsets & Start of No-Fly Window

• Divers (1 Morning Dive): One final shallow dive at 9:00 AM to safely conclude the underwater itinerary, starting the 24-hour No-Fly countdown. Afternoon spent washing and drying oceanic dive gear.

• Non-Divers: Sunset beach yoga and meditation session followed by beach volleyball.

• For Everyone: A grand beach BBQ farewell dinner featuring fresh seafood, a traditional roast pig, and acoustic live music under the stars.

🏙️ DAY 11: Return Journey to Manila

• For Everyone: The No-Fly window concludes. Private boat and VIP van transfer back to San Jose Airport for our domestic flight to Manila (MNL). Check-in at a luxury 5-star hotel in Manila.

🏛️ DAY 12: Mandatory Terrestrial Day – Historic Capital Tour

• For Everyone: A relaxed day exploring Manila’s top cultural heritage sights, including Rizal Park and the San Agustin Church. Followed by an afternoon of luxury shopping for world-famous South Sea pearls and local crafts. Final group celebration dinner at a fine-dining restaurant.

🛫 DAY 13: Homeward Bound

• For Everyone: Private transfer to the international terminal for your flights back home to Europe. End of services.
