Overview

Papua Diving operates two separate resorts close to each other on Kri Island: Sorido Bay for greater comfort and air-conditioned beachfront rooms, and Kri Eco for a more traditional overwater experience.

Both use Exploration and prebooked Unlimited Diving packages, with scheduled Sorong transfers included in standard stays of at least seven nights.

The operation is deeply established in Raja Ampat and offers small-group diving, free Nitrox for certified divers, house reefs, special excursions and extensive photography support.

About Papua Diving Resorts — Sorido Bay / Kri Eco

Dining and meal plans

Exploration and Unlimited packages include full board, snacks, unlimited drinking water, tea and coffee.

Soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and the marine park permit are separate.

Beyond diving

Exploration packages suit snorkelers and relaxed non-divers, with house-reef snorkeling, kayaks and paddleboards.

Bird-of-paradise, Batanta, Fam, Hidden Bay, Passage and other excursions may be arranged locally.

Getting there

Standard packages of at least seven nights include scheduled airport and boat transfers between Sorong and Kri on selected Sunday and Wednesday patterns.

No transfer services operate on Saturday. Short or non-standard stays pay extra transfer charges and must follow flight cutoffs.

Dives per day

Unlimited package: three guided boat dives plus one dusk or night dive per operating day, up to four dives daily

Dive programme

Both resorts offer Exploration Packages for flexibility and prebooked Unlimited Diving Packages for guests averaging three dives a day.

The Unlimited package includes up to four dives per operating day, air or Nitrox, tanks, weights and guides, except Friday evening and Saturday daytime restrictions.

Standard packages of at least seven nights include scheduled Sorong transfers and a special full-day excursion according to the current weekly programme.

Nitrox

Free Nitrox is included for certified divers within eligible dive packages.

House reef

Both Sorido Bay and Kri Eco have direct access to vibrant Kri Island house reefs for snorkeling and scheduled diving.

Photography facilities

Sorido Bay hosts the Raja Ampat SEACAM Center and dedicated photography facilities.

Small guide ratios, private-guide options, blackwater dives and specialist workshops support serious underwater photographers.

Sorido Bay provides air-conditioned beachfront comfort in Sentani, Kaimana, Kumawa and Kebar categories, from 60 to 120 m².

Kri Eco provides traditional overwater Papuan, Superior and Deluxe Water Cottages. Papuan and Superior use shared bathrooms; Deluxe has ensuite facilities.
